Micheal Sebulsky has over 20 years teaching experience and has worked in many venues including
K-12 public schools, private lessons, and university instruction. He currently teaches music theory
at the University of Louisville School of Music, and has previously taught at the University of
Colorado. He also was a Graduate Teaching Fellow in music theory at the University of Oregon,
where he taught undergraduate music theory and ear training. His doctoral research focuses on the
theorization of musical improvisation. He is an experienced performer on guitar, having worked
and toured with bands who are currently a part of the national country music scene, along with
those who have established themselves in the Los Angeles music scene. He is also a classically trained guitarist and has earned bachelor's degrees in Music Education and Guitar Perfomance.
