Over the course of my career, my line of research has been taken three parallel paths 1) psychology as it pertains to health of patients, 2) training and education of healthcare professionals and 3) burnout, well-being and resilience among health care professionals and learners.

Since coming to ULSD in 2019, a number of DMD students have collaborated on research projects in areas of burnout/well-being in healthcare, attitudes Regarding care for patients who have a variety of "Special Needs", and most recently, attitudes of dental students regardin g providing care for patients who may have mental health concerns. We have also worked with psychology doctoral students on various projects. Together, we have co-authored numerous local (ResearchLouisville!) and national conference presentations.
