Certified in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine, I am an Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville. I have a clinical and academic focus on complex bone and joint infections. My work spans both inpatient consult services and outpatient clinics, where I supervise fellows, residents, and medical students in the management of challenging infectious cases, particularly prosthetic joint infections and hardware-associated infections. I am committed to medical education through bedside teaching, interdisciplinary rounds, and interactive didactics with Infectious Diseases fellows, Internal Medicine residents, and Orthopedic and Podiatry trainees.

My research interests center on optimizing antimicrobial strategies in musculoskeletal infections, including outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (CoOPAT), antimicrobial-loaded spacers and cement, tailoring antimicrobial duration to surgical outcomes in prosthetic joint infections, and evaluating the role of suppressive therapy in hardware-related infections.
