Aditya Verma, MD, is a medical and surgical retina specialist trained in pediatric and adult vitreoretinal surgeries. He joined the retina division in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Louisville as a faculty member in 2022. He has also been associated with Doheny Eye Institute, California as a senior research associate since 2018. His interests include diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinopathy of prematurity, scleral buckles, retinal detachment, among others. Apart from being passionate about his patients, he strongly believes in nurturing a cordial environment with his staff and team members, and providing excellent scholarly and proficient opportunities for students, residents, and fellows. He has mentored many medical students in high-quality research activities, actively pursuing them to showcase their skills at various academic forums. His passions outside the clinic include traveling, hiking, photography, and enjoying a peaceful family time with his family.
