BIO
Dr. Adriana E. Palade, M.D. is a board-certified neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist specializing in epilepsy, sleep medicine, and neurology. She serves as Professor of Neurology.
Dr. Palade earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” in Bucharest, Romania, in 1995. She completed her residency in neurology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and went on to complete a clinical neurophysiology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
She is board-certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy. Nationally, she has served on examination and review committees for specialty boards and professional organizations.
Dr. Palade joined the faculty at the University of Louisville in 2015. She has held leadership roles including Director of the Neurology Residency Program, Director of the Epilepsy Surgical Program, and Chief of the Division of Epilepsy. Her teaching excellence has been recognized by medical students and residents.
Clinically, she focuses on the evaluation and treatment of epilepsy, pre-surgical epilepsy assessment, and related neurological and sleep disorders.
