Dr. Ali Mahmoud is an Instructor in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Louisville, where he is involved in both teaching and research. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville in 2014, following B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt. Dr. Mahmoud’s research has included machine learning, image processing, computer vision, robotics, object detection and tracking, and medical imaging. His work has particularly emphasized machine learning–based methods for early disease diagnosis, with applications to neurological, renal, retinal, and pulmonary disorders.
