Amy’s scholarship focuses on predictors of health in patients after cardiac bypass surgery. Both her scholarship and her teaching are informed by her rich clinical experience in critical care and medical surgical nursing. With a commitment to supporting professional nurses in rural communities through leadership in professional organizations, Amy serves as faculty counselor in the local Sigma Theta Tau chapter as well as treasurer in Kentucky Nurses Association
