BIO

Anita M. Moorman, J.D. is a Professor of Sport Administration at the University of Louisville. She teaches Sport Law and Legal Aspects of Sport. Professor Moorman is the editor/co-author of “Sport Law: A Managerial Approach” published by Routledge entering its 5th Edition in 2026. Her research interests focus on participant rights issues in sport including name, image and likeness rights for college athletes. She also examines the interplay between sport law and marketing. Professor Moorman has served or is currently serving on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Sport Management, Journal of Legal Aspects of Sport, and the Sport Marketing Quarterly. She has published more than 50 scholarly articles and book chapters.
