Dr. Arpita Lakhotia is an Associate Professor in Department of Pediatrics, Division of Child Neurology at the University of Louisville. Her scholarship focuses on pediatric neuromuscular disorders, and pediatric stroke. Her work emphasizes advancing care in spinal muscular atrophy and related conditions through clinical research and multicenter collaborations.

She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presents regularly at national and international conferences on emerging therapies and innovations in pediatric neurology. Dr. Lakhotia also serves on the editorial board of Pediatric Neurology and contributes as a peer reviewer for several journals.

An active mentor and educator, she integrates scholarship with trainee development in research and quality improvement. Her contributions have been recognized with election to Alpha Omega Alpha, and fellowship in the American Academy of Neurology and the Child Neurology Society.
