Asem Ali received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Assiut University, Egypt in 1999 and 2002, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree from University of Louisville in ECE in 2008. He has been a post-doctoral fellow then a research scientist with the CVIP Lab, UofL, during the period 2008-2012 and 2015-2024, respectively. He is an instructor at Bioengineering and ECE departments, J. B. Speed School of Engineering, UofL. His research interest intersects Artificial Intelligence, Affective Computing, Image Analysis, and Computer Vision.
