Ashley is a proud University of Louisville—School of Nursing alumni. She has an extensive background in adult health, with the first decade of her profession being employed at Louisville's level-1 trauma center. While practicing in the surgical intensive care unit, her experience led to certification in this area and developing a passion for education. She continued working at the bedside and returned to the UofL School of Nursing in 2015 as a clinical instructor, seeking opportunities for more involvement in the nursing community. She obtained a master's degree in nursing education and transitioned to a faculty role in the baccalaureate program, where she teaches across multiple adult health courses.
