Dr. Audrey Summers currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Louisville. She is the director of the Psychiatric Consult-Liaison Service at the University of Louisville Hospital and the director of the Women’s Mental Health Clinic at the UofL Health Outpatient Center. She completed her undergraduate education at UofL with a degree in molecular biology in 2016 and obtained her medical doctorate at the UofL School of Medicine in 2020. She completed her psychiatric residency at UofL in 2024, where she served as chief resident. She has published and presented on topics related to reproductive mental health at a regional and national level. She is involved in the education of medical students and resident physicians. In addition to her clinical work, she is involved with many organizations including the Kentucky Psychiatric Medical Association and the Southern Psychiatric Association. She also serves as the Medical Director for KyCOMPASS, which is Kentucky’s perinatal mental health access program.
