As a diabetes researcher (isletlogist) for the past 30 years, my research career has focused on utilizing insulin producing islet cells for the treatment of diabetes. I have performed over 600 clinical islet cell transplantations in patients and processed over 2000 human pancreases for diabetes research initiatives. I have established advanced islet manufacturing protocols for clinical auto- and allo- islet transplantations. I have published more than 250 research articles including book chapters and serves on the editorial review boards of several journals. I have been invited nationally and internationally to give numerous presentations on my research studies.
