BIO

Dr. Brittney M. Richardson works with UofL Physicians Family Medicine and is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician, medical educator, and academic leader at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. In her clinical practice, Dr. Richardson provides comprehensive primary care and sports medicine across the lifespan — from pediatric patients to aging athletes — with a particular focus on musculoskeletal injury, women's health, and performance medicine. As Team Physician for University of Louisville Athletics, she delivers medical care for over 550 intercollegiate student athletes, serving as head team physician for the football and women's basketball programs and providing coverage at NCAA Tournaments, ACC Championships, bowl games, and international competitions. She also serves as team physician for Racing Louisville FC and Louisville City FC. Dr. Richardson's academic career is defined by a servant leadership philosophy — a commitment to opening doors, investing in others, and using her platform in service of her students, her patients, and her community.
