BIO

Dr. Harrington brings 40 years of geriatric nursing experience, including 18 years as an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, to her nurse scientist role.

 

Dr. Harrington was inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing in 2022 and a Fellow in the National League of Nursing's Academy of Nursing Education in Fall, 2026. She has been a Distinguished Educator for Gerontological Nursing. National Hartford Center of Gerontological Excellence since 2017. She earned the National League of Nursing's Certified Nurse Educator designation in 2020. She is a certified Alzheimer's Disease Dementia Care Trainer and certified in Agricultural Medicine and Occupational Safety.
