How do women and members of LGBTQ+ communities in the Americas use their bodies to make political claims and respond to inequalities? This overarching question motivates my research agenda, which includes topics in transnational feminist politics, culture, and social movements in and beyond Latin America from the 20th century to the present. By taking the corporeal dimensions of political maneuvers as a focal point, I examine the many ways race, gender, sexuality, and class affect membership in the national body.
