BIO
Dr. Carla Vidoni is an Associate Professor of Physical Education Teacher Education at the University of Louisville. Her research examines physical activity and motor competence in early childhood, fair play and social skills interventions, and curriculum and instruction in PK–12 physical education. She is also engaged in professional learning and development in Physical Education Teacher Education research.
Dr. Vidoni contributes to the field through her involvement with SHAPE America and KY SHAPE and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Physical Education in Higher Education (AIESEP). Her scholarship is international and collaborative, reflecting diverse perspectives through co-authored research with scholars from both the Global North and South.
At the University of Louisville, Dr. Vidoni teaches courses such as Teaching and Learning Elementary Physical Education, Introduction to Physical Education, and Student Teaching Seminar. She also mentors and supervises students during clinical and student teaching experiences in elementary physical education public schools.
