Carrie Daniels is University Archivist and Director, Archives and Special Collections. She joined the University of Louisville Libraries in 2003 as Archivist for Automated Systems. Her first career was in higher education administration,  in departmental support and graduate and professional school admissions positions at Harvard University.  

Professor Daniels' research interests are as broad as her professional responsibilities. She has published articles and book chapters focusing on developing new and innovative collections such as the Louisville Underground Music Archives, the merger that formed Archives and Special Collections in 2013, crowdsourcing to enhance access to digitized content, and digital preservation.
