My general research interests include cardiovascular physiology, inflammation, reperfusion injury, immunosuppression in organ transplantation, and the development of anti-inflammatory therapies for liver therapies. My recent focus has been on creating novel liposome-based treatments to reduce alcohol-induced liver disease and protect the endothelial barrier from reperfusion injury and microvascular dysfunction following myocardial infarction.
