Cody H. Penrod MD, MBA is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, University of Louisville School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, and a pediatric emergency medicine physician with Norton Children's Emergency Medicine. Dr. Penrod serves as the Associate Division Chief with academic interests including operations, clinical practice guideline development, value-based healthcare initiatives, and quality improvement while continuing to be involved in educational activities throughout the school of medicine. He is originally from Columbia, TN and completed his undergraduate training at Samford University, medical school at South Alabama College of Medicine, Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, and obtained an MBA at the University of Louisville College of Business.
