Darby Cole MD is a family medicine physician with over 21 years of experience practicing full spectrum family medicine in a rural healthcare shortage area.  Dr Cole graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 1995 and then went on to complete a 3 year program in Family Medicine at the Trover Foundation and Trover Regional Medicine Center in Madisonville Kentucky.  After his training Dr Cole entered into private practice August 1998 in rural Hartford Ky with hospital privledges at Ohio County Community Hospital.  Then in 2019 he transitioned formally into the world of graduate medical education when he joined the UofL-Owensboro Family Medicine Residency program as core faculty and APD.  Dr Cole became the Program Director there in 2022 and continues to lead the program in clinical excellence.  Darby Cole MD and his clinic provides comprehensive Family Medicine services including chronic disease management, acute care, women's health and other preventative health services, minor surgical care, and so much more!  Dr Cole's clinical interests include chronic disease mangement, particularly endocrinology and diabetes care and he is excellent at minor surgical skin care.
