David Zimmer MD is a head and neck surgeon at the University of Louisville sub-specialized in head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction. His clinical interests including head and neck mucosal tumors, robotic surgery of the oropharynx, advanced cutaneous malignancies, salivary neoplasms, and endocrine surgery.

He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame and then completed veterinary school at the Purdue University. After completing his doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) degree, he completed his MD at Indiana University followed by residency at Cleveland Clinic and fellowship at Vanderbilt University.
