SPONSORED PROJECTS

My research is primarily collaborative in scope, in support of physician researchers in pediatric emergency medicine at Lurie Children's Hospital, Chicago, IL and the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. My two primary focus areas in research with this group are child abuse detection and the development of prediction models for pneumonia, bronchiolitis, and other common and/or high acuity conditions for children presenting to emergency rooms. Additionally, I provide support for small-scale research projects conducted by residents and fellows at Lurie. My methodological research generally focuses on weighted estimation problems, with applications in cluster data and multistate models.
