BIO
Dr. Patton is a Professor of Applied Linguistics (Clinical) and has been at the University of Louisville since the summer of 2007.
She regularly teaches:
- Survey of Linguistics for Educators (Fall and Spring)
- Teaching English as an International Language (Fall only)
- Language, Society, and Power (Fall and Spring)
- World Englishes (Spring only)
Dr. Patton has done extensive program work in both the Kentucky English as a Second Language (ESL) Endorsement and the graduate certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
She has served a reviewer for the Fulbright scholarship program and works closely with University of Louisville undergrad students as a mentor in the application process.
