BIO

Elyssa Q. Albrecht is a Term Faculty Instructor and the Academic Director of Oral Communication (OC) Courses in the Department of Communication. She teaches courses in public speaking, business communication, and interpersonal relationships, while also leading a team of more than 20 instructors who teach over 140 OC course sections each year. She has contributed to the OC curriculum development and has played a key role in integrating new learning platforms to enhance student engagement.  In addition to student success, her research interests include Black representation in advertising and health communication. She is also the Assistant Editor for Women & Language.
