Emily Payne Sieg, M.D., M.S., is a board-certified neurosurgeon and the Director of Neurotrauma for UofL Health.

Dr. Sieg joined UofL's Department of Neurological Surgery as an Associate Professor in the UofL School of Medicine and serves as the Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs as well as the Director of Neurotrauma. Dr. Sieg's clinical interests are in Neurotrauma and Neurocritical Care, including traumatic cranial and spinal cord injuries.

Dr. Sieg received her medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine. She completed her residency in neurological surgery at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, as well as a 1-year CAST-accredited fellowship in Neurocritical Care and Complex Spine Surgery.

Dr. Sieg provides the following services as part of the Department of Neurological Surgery:

·         Neurosurgical care for traumatic cranial and spinal cord injuries

·         Neurocritical care and advanced neuromonitoring

·         Minimally invasive and complex spine surgery
