I am an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. I am also a Staff Physician at the Robley Rex Louisville VAMC. I am director of endoscopy unit at university of Louisville hospital. I have received training in clinical research at the NIH and I have participated in the Nestle Nutrition Scholars Program.  I practice general gastroenterology, clinical nutrition, and therapeutic endoscopy. I perform wide range GI procedures including EUS, enteral access etc. I see patients at our four affiliated hospitals (University of Louisville, Jewish, Norton and VA hospitals) and in outpatient clinics. I also volunteer for Surgery on Sunday in Louisville, KY where we provide free endoscopic procedures for uninsured or underinsured members of the community.   I’m involved in many research projects.
