Dr. Erin Owen is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Louisville and an attending physician in the Just for Kids Critical Care Center at Norton Children’s Hospital.  Erin completed her medical school training  at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio ('04). She completed her Pediatric Residency (/07), served a Chief year ('07-08) and completed a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at UofL (/11). After serving as an Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency program for seven years, Dr. Owen now serves as the Director of Pediatric Fellowships supporting all UL Pediatric Subspecialty training programs and helping our residents prepare for their future careers in pursuing whichever fellowship subspecialty that may interest them. Additionally, she serves as the Director of the Pediatric Resident Quality Improvement and Patient Safety curriculum.  Clinically, Dr. Owen serves as the site PI for our local Near4Kids initiative - an international collaborative aimed at improving intubation safety.
