Farshid Rahmani is an Assistant Professor at the University of Louisville (2026–present) in the Department od Civil and Environmental Engineering. He also served as a Senior Software Developer on NOAA’s Next Generation Water Prediction Capability (NextGen) through ASRC Federal (2025), supporting operational forecasting systems. Farshid earned his Ph.D. in Water Resources Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University (2020–2025), an M.Sc. in Water Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, and a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Tehran. His research develops data-driven and process-informed methods to improve large-scale predictions of streamflow, stream temperature, and water-quality dynamics.
