PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Dr. Ekuban is an active member of the Society of Toxicology (SOT) and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD). His professional service includes:

  • Councilor, SOT Postdoctoral Assembly (former)
  • Postdoctoral Representative, SOT Membership Committee (former)
  • Peer Mentor, SOT Undergraduate Education and Undergraduate Development Programs (2022–present)
  • Career Development Program Representative, Center for Integrative Environmental Health Sciences (CIEHS) Internal Advisory Committee

His contributions have been recognized through multiple honors, including the Kentucky Colonel Award, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Outstanding Early Stage Investigator Poster Award, the Presidential Scholar Award from the Louisville Clinical and Translational Research Center, the Gabriel L. Plaa Education Award (third place) from SOT, and the First-Place Poster Award at the Ohio Valley Society of Toxicology meeting.
