BIO

Dr. Kalayil is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

 

Dr. Kalayil is an attending in the Psychiatric Inpatient Unit at the University of Louisville Hospital.  He is board certified in psychiatry (since 2006) and is certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (since 2010).

 

Dr. Kalayil graduated from the University of Louisville in 1993, and received his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine (Portsmouth, Dominica) in 2000.  He completed his general residency in 2005 at Loyola University Medical Center, and completed his Fellowship in Electroconvulsive Therapy from Duke University Medical Center in 2006.
