Heather Huxol, M.D. is a pediatric hospitalist physician with Norton Children's Hospital.  She has been a hospitalist for 20 years, serving the pediatric inpatient population at the children's hospital.  She has taught medical students and residents at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and currently serves as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics.  One of her areas of interest is Pediatric Complex Care and children with medical complexity.  She is the Medical Director at The Home of the Innocents Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center and has worked there since 2007, which is an inpatient pediatric long-term care facility for medically complex patients.  She is also active with the American Academy of Peditrics Council on Children with Disabilities (COCWD) and the Pediatric Complex Care Association.
