Heather Trulen is a nursing educator with over a decade of clinical experience in NICU, urgent care, school health, and prenatal education. She has a strong passion for working with nursing students, which led her to begin teaching part-time at the UofL Owensboro Extension in 2022. In 2023, she completed her Master’s in Nursing Education at McKendree University. As of fall 2024, she serves as a full-time faculty member, focusing on community health and mental health nursing. Her scholarship emphasizes active learning and community engagement.
