Dr. Hector R. Martinez-Menchaca has an appointment as Associate Professor at the Division of Pediatric Dentistry of University of Louisville School of Dentistry and servs as the Pediatric Dentistry DMD Program Director.

Dr. Martinez-Menchaca graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with post-doctoral training in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master of Science in Dental Research. Prior to his coming to Louisville, he was Dean of the School of Dental Medicine, Investigator and Associate Professor of University of Monterrey, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

He lectures extensively on Pediatric Dentistry approaches optimizing oral and general health integrating contemporary sources in developing total orofacial harmony. Dr. Martinez-Menchaca has presented throughout the U.S., Europe, and Latin America.

Dr. Martinez-Menchaca is Chief Editor of journal Dental para Cual. He has been named "Associate Professor" of the Mexican Dental Association. Dr. Martinez-Menchaca writes extensively, authoring articles and contributing to many dental books writing 9 book chapters and 4 manuals. Dr. Martinez published three books of his own authorship on Dental Local Anesthesia. He continues to be a sought-after speaker at international conferences, sharing his insights on the latest advancements in dental technology and patient care.
