Hugh W. Shoff, MD, MS, is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and works clinically with Unviersity of Louisville Health. He serves as the Associate Dean for Quality and Patient Safety and as the Associate Chief Medical Officer for the University of Louisville Hospital. Dr. Shoff’s expertise focuses on quality improvement and patient safety across the health care continuum, from acute care delivery to system-level initiatives. He leads the quality and safety educational curriculum for residents and fellows, helping to develop the next generation of physician leaders. In addition to his academic and administrative roles, he continues to practice clinically as an Emergency Physician and directs quality and safety efforts across the UofL Health system.
