BIO

Dr. Jacob Maxwell Read joined the Department of Industrial Engineering (IE) at the UofL Speed School as an Assistant Professor (Term) effective Fall 2024. Dr. Read earned his Ph.D. from UofL in Summer 2024, with a focus in Human Factors Engineering (HFE), under Dr. Jason J. Saleem's guidance. He also received his M.Eng. and B.S. from UofL in 2015 and 2016, respectively. Dr. Read has conducted a variety of research in the healthcare and military domains with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL). 

 

Dr. Read is a lifetime Kentuckian, from Bullitt County. In his free time, he enjoys being active in the outdoors and in competitive sports.
