BIO

A professor in the Department of Elementary, Middle, and Secondary Teacher Education in the College of Education and Human Development, Dr. Chisholm specializes in English education. His research examines issues at the intersection of classroom discourse, multimodality, and agency and identity. He collaborates with undergraduate and graduate students, faculty researchers, teachers, and community members to study and support adolescent literacy. Dr. Chisholm teaches courses and advises students in the following programs: B.S. in Middle and Secondary Education, M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning, and Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction.
