Todd Whitney is an Associate Professor in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Louisville where he is the Co-PI of the Kentucky Reading Research Center (KYRRC) and co-director of the Center for Instructional and Behavioral Research in Schools (CIBRS).  He began his career teaching elementary students with mild to moderate disabilities in resource and collaboration settings. He has taught special education methods/assessment, structured literacy, and classroom management courses for approximately 15 years across three universities (Kentucky and Tennessee). His research areas of interest include evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions for students with disabilities and the effective use of evidence-based instructional practices to increase student engagement.
