Dr. Lin is a board-certified Otolaryngologist and Neurotologist. He completed his otolaryngology residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital and neurotology/otology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. He has been on the faculty at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Cornell, Baylor College of Medicine, and University of Louisville School of Medicine. He specializes in disorders of the ear, particularly those that require operative management. These include hearing loss, vertigo, chronic otitis media, mastoiditis, cholesteatoma, and facial palsy. The workhourse procedures he performs include tympanoplasty and tympanomastoidectomy. Specific procedures that he performs for hearing loss include stapedectomy, ossicular chain reconstruction, cochlear implant, and osseo-integrated hearing device implant.  He also specializes in disorders and tumors of the lateral skull base such as vestibular schwannoma (acoustic neuroma), meningioma, glomus tumor, encephalocele, and cerebrospinal fluid leak. His clinical work frequently involves collaboration with other specialties including audiology, speech and language, pathology, neurology, and neurosurgery.
