Dr. Jessica Bowersock is a neurophysiologist with interdisciplinary training in athletic training, biomechanics, neuroscience, and motor control. She received her B.S. in Athletic Training from Sacred Heart University, followed by an M.S. in Biomechanics, and a Ph.D. in Bioenergetics from East Carolina University. She completed her post-doctoral training in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Bowersock’s research examines how humans interact with their environment and how environmental demands shape behavior through underlying neural organization. Her work integrates principles from biomechanics and neurophysiology to better understand human movement, cognition, and adaptation. She teaches a variety of undergraduate neuroscience courses for the University of Arizona Department of Neuroscience Online Program.
