BIO

Education & Experience: I received an M.S. in Exercise Physiology with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Louisville in 2011 and a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Ohio University in 2008. I am a certified Exercise Physiologist and Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine, as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I was previously employed at the University of Louisville, where I served as an instructor for seven years. I then worked at Rowan University is New Jersey as a Senior Lecturer for five years and was hired back to the University of Louisville as a Senior Lecturer in January of 2024. My teaching experience includes foundations of strength and conditioning, EKG and pharmacology, laboratory methods, exercise testing and prescription, anatomy and physiology, special populations and study abroad courses. Outside of academics, my previous work experience includes cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation, as well as personal training at a hospital-affiliated wellness center.
