John Chenault is an associate professor for Undergraduate Medical Education (UME). A long-time University of Louisville (UofL) faculty member, Chenault previously served as a medical librarian in the Kornhauser Health Sciences Library for 17 years, and as adjunct faculty in the Pan African Studies Department in the College of Arts & Sciences for 15 years. He has a master’s degree in library science (MSLS) from the University of Kentucky, and a MA and PhD in Pan African Studies from UofL, and a BFA (interdisciplinary degree)  in Creative Writing and Music from Union Institute.
