Dr. Jonathan Cohen attended medical school at the University of Louisville, pediatric residency at Carolinas Medical Center, and Neonatology fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.  He has worked as a clinical Neonatologist in Louisville since 2003. Dr. Cohen founded the Bioethics Committee at Norton Children’s Hospital and severed as Committee Chair for over a decade. He received a Master’s in Bioethics from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2018.  Currently he serves on the Medical School Admissions Committee, Children’s Hospital Governance Committee, and holds the positions of Director of Neonatal Medicine for the Division of Neonatology. Dr. Cohen also organizes the Ethics component of the medical school curriculum. His primary areas of interest are clinical effectiveness, medical decision-making, compassionate communication, resource utilization and medical/social justice.
