Dr. Jonathan Towarnicki is a Podiatric physician and surgeon that works for the University of Louisville Hospital (UofL Health). After receiving his undergraduate degree in Biology at Virginia Tech, where he graduated with honors; he attended The Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.  Dr. Towarnicki then completed a 3-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Certification at the University of Louisville. During his final year of training, he served as Co-Chief Resident   After residency, Dr. Towarnicki was appointed as the Assistant Director of Podiatric Residency and Fellowship Training at the University of Louisville and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery within the department of Orthopedics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Towarnicki specializes in all aspects of foot and ankle trauma, diabetic limb salvage/wound care, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery; and has expertise in minimally invasive procedures of the foot and ankle including arthroscopic and endoscopic techniques. Dr. Towarnicki is board certified by both the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and has received a certificate of added qualification in Amputation Prevention and Wound Care through the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.   In his spare time Dr. Towarnicki enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, fishing, golfing, playing tennis, wakeboarding, and snowboarding.
