I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, University of Louisville (Louisville, KY).  I obtained my PhD in Analytical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy at the University of Saarland, Saarbrücken, Germany. Then, I accepted postdoctoral positions successively at the Department of Molecular Biology, University of Umea, Sweden, and Department of Microbiology and Immunology, University of Louisville (UofL) in the field of molecular pathogenesis. I then joined the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at UofL successively as Postdoctoral Scholar, Research Scientist and Instructor. My overall research vision is to provide critical data to help improve human health in the context of growing environmental pollution, which is directly responsible for multiple diseases, including cancer and metabolic disorders.
