Professor Hadley's research interests have varied within the fields of British Romanticism and the long 19th century, including published articles addressing the work of Ellizabeth Barrett Browning, William Wordsworth, William Blake, Mary Shelley, and, more generally, Romantic Allegory. She currently has a piece in circulation addressing the travel journals of Mary Wollstonecraft and her daughter Mary Shelley in context of the rise of Dark Tourism. She continues work on a monograph which explores the botanical imagery in Blake's Lambeth books: particularly his use of  text/image interplay toward questioning the legitimacies of Anglo- economic and cultural influence on the Western world's evolving attitutudes toward global natures and populations.

Professor Hadley was educated at the University of California at Berkeley, receiving her PhD in Linguistics & British Literature and her BA in British Literature & Political Theory.
