Dr. Orman is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Since 2001, she has been the Medical Director of the Just For Kids Pediatric/Neonatal Transport team. Dr. Orman is the Associate Director for Simulation Outreach for the SPARC program. She leads the regional pediatric mobile simulation program, training physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, EMS personnel, and healthcare students in acute care pediatric scenarios.  She is the NCH site director for the University of Louisville Emergency Medical Services fellowship program, and the content expert for pediatric transport and outreach in the Pediatric Pandemic Network Trauma/Burn Domain.

She is married to Shands, an anesthesiologist; they have 2 college-age daughters.
