Dr. James works dually as a practicing Clinical Psychologist with Norton Healthcare as well as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics with the University of Louisville School of Medicine. 

In her clinical role, Dr. James works as a clinical psychologist in an outpatient clinic treating and diagnosis autism spectrum disorder and comorbid conditions. In this position, Dr. James splits her time between diagnostic evaluations, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. 

In her faculty role, Dr. James splits her time amongst teaching and supervision of advanced psychology students, community outreach, and program devleopment to support novel programs for families and individuals affected by autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilies.
