BIO

I am the Ben A. Reid, Sr. Professor and Chair of The Hiram C. Polk, Jr. MD Department of Surgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. I earned my MD at the UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas-MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. I have a PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from Rutgers. In my role as the Director of the Multidisciplinary Melanoma Clinic at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center at the University of Louisville, I work closely with researchers and clinicians to identify the most effective combination of therapeutic modalities. I have served as Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Surgical Oncology since 2018.
