Kinya Embry-Wright, PhD, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist in Louisville, Kentucky. She is an Assistant Professor and the Assistant Director of Clinical Education at the University of Louisville in the Department of Otolaryngology Head-and-Neck Cancer and Communication Disorders in the School of Medicine. Dr. Embry-Wright has experience working with Deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) children clinically, in outpatient settings, as well as at the Kentucky School for the Deaf. She is also the Assistant Director of Language First, an organization that promotes American Sign Language (ASL)-English bilingualism for DHH children. She is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), the the Kentucky Speech-Language Hearing Association (KSHA), where she serves as the RISE (Respect, Inclusion, Support, Equity) Committee, and the National Black Association for Speech, Language, and Hearing (NBASLH).
